NOOK is a multidisciplinary artistic centre in Poble Sec, Barcelona, which offers artists different kinds of facilities, such as working spaces and a multi-function gallery/performance stage.
NOOK synopsis
NOOK is a project which has been established by Finnish and Spanish artists in collaboration to create possibilities of artistic co-working and exchange. NOOK works with Norpas festival, as well as record labels, cultural institutions and collectives in Spain and Finland.
In the work spaces there are possibilities to for production and post-production of video and sound, painting, graphic arts and photography.
The multi-function gallery and performance space is 70m2 (5m x 14m) and about 4 meters high. The space offers a PA system, video projector with 3m x 2m screen, and light equipment, as well as technical personnel.
NOOK concentrates mostly in emerging, experimental, progressive, bold and empirical avant-garde arts.
